BHP is relying on Atlas Rail to streamline its operations on the BHP IO Rapid Growth Project 4. Atlas Rail will supply a fully automated wheel demount press, an automated wheel press and various brake testing machines for the the Ore Car Repair Shop located in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

Westinghouse, part of Invensys Rail Group (IRG), has signed a contract with the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) to install signalling on Singapore's new Downtown Line. The contract is valued at S$288 million (approximately £123 million).

Atlas Rail is about to complete a significant project for Rio Tinto's 7 Mile operations in Karratha, Western Australia with the commissioning of its third Australian-delivered Under Floor Wheel Lathe (UFWL). It is capable of performing 10mm cuts on the Rio Tinto fleet of locomotives/ore cars resulting in increased throughput of wheel turning operations. This new lathe for Rio Tinto will replace and improve on an existing lathe at the company's 7 Mile RSM workshop.

Atlas Rail stepped in when a Hong Kong equipment supplier was left in the lurch by another supplier on one of their projects in China. Having established a strong service track record, Atlas now looks likely to secure more business in China.
